Free STARS Training 

Thanks to our ongoing partnership with Washington State Department of Children, Youth & Families (DCYF), all staff working in licensed school-age programs are eligible to participate in School's Out Washington's Community Workshops for FREE! 


How to Register for FREE

Whether you need to complete the 30-hour School-Age Basics training or the 10 hours of annual in service training, follow the link to browse our Community Workshops page and simply select the workshop of your choice, then upon check-out, choose the “Licensed Care School-Age Provider (With Valid STARS ID) - $0.00” option. That’s it! Once registration is complete, you will receive an email confirmation and you are all set.


Custom Trainings

Organizations and leaders have a limited option of requesting a custom training specific to the needs of their team. Once the request form is complete, our training team will review it, contact the requestor for additional details and confirmation and then set you up with one of our State Approved Trainers to facilitate the requested training at your location! Please refer to the Customized Training page for additional information or to request a training.


School-Age Licensing Changes and Updates:

School’s Out Washington receives regular updates from DCYF regarding changes and updates in reference to licensed programs and providers. Please check back monthly for the latest information and/or subscribe to receive our monthly E-NEWS.
